Alex Chua : Clarity Coach Are You Living the Life You Were Born to Live?

Are You Living the Life You Were Born to Live?

Posted on Oct 30th, 2006 by Alex Chua : Clarity Coach Alex Chua

Have you heard the story about an old woman who found an eagle's egg and by mistake put it in the nest of a hen?

The little eagle hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them.

As he grew older, the little eagle did what the chicks did & thought it was just like them.

But something just didn't feel right...

The eagle's heart was filled with awe every time he saw a big eagle soaring gracefully across the sky.

As he gazed at the vast space above, he felt an emptiness deep within... an emptiness he could not describe.

The little eagle also knew no words to describe the magnificent bird flying high above, in the vast blue sky.

"What is that?" little eagle asked his brothers & sisters.

"Oh! That's the Great Flying Bird, King of the Sky. Mother Hen told us he's a bird like us, but of a different breed. That's why he can fly & we can't. We are born on Earth & belong to the Earth."

"Oh I see." said little eagle, but he was not satisfied. He desired to experience the freedom of flight.

There wasn't a single day when little eagle didn't imagine how it might feel like to be soring in the air.

"What's wrong with me?" little eagle found himself thinking. "Why can't I be satisfied & accept life like the other chickens?"

The other chickens were of no help either. "Get real! Stop dreaming & go catch your worms. You can never fly." They all told him.

Little eagle believed... & agreed...

Years passed and the eagle grew older... & older... & older...

He scratched the earth for worms & clucked like the rest of the chickens.

More years soon passed... & the eagle died.

The eagle lived & died a chicken, because that's what he thought he was.

The eagle had within him the potential of any other eagle, but he could not go beyond what he believed & agreed to be possible. He did not manifest his potential & failed to Live the Life he was born to Live. He did not unwrap & use his gift in the most Fulfilling, Positive & Productive way.

What a tragedy... ...

What a great story.  I relate to this so much right now.  I think for me the key is to keep learning about others, especially people who go beyond and fulfill their potential.  I have to see it to understand it, and therefore strive for it.  Otherwise, how do we know what else is possible?  Keep pushing ourselves to go beyond our limits.  And staying hidden from the world is the worst possible way to keep your eyes open for possibilities.  I have to get over this!  heh.

Love the mandala!

This story reminds me of my brother.  He has such talent and a great personality but he is still searching…..

I love the mandala!  How do you do that with pictures?  I want to try and make a ton of mandalas now out of my pictures!

It's your own story Shashaank… you'll have to write it yourself… the questions are there to help you do that…

Kelly, Mandalas… I use an alchemical mix of tools & effects depending on the flow of things. Like the rest of my photo art, I cannot repeat any co-creation twice… which is why I use the word co-create rather than create. Each is unique & special, just like you & me.

I'm not a teacher for creating mandalas but no worries, there are many teachers out there… of various complexity…

Here's some simple once to start with.

There are many more, just google for them.

The trouble with this is, I find myself looking BACKWARD and know that decisions I have made leading me to here, and now, and my reality, cannot be taken back.

I am on a certain path, and if I had things to do over, I would not make the same decisions. THen I see my boys and I know, that means I would not have them. They are my reason for being now, even when I am frustrated and need a “mom” break.  So, my answer is NO, I am not living the life I was meant to. But I can't change that. Can you say STUCK?  All I can do now, is move FORWARD and try and incorporate who I want to be into my life now. It is like fitting a square peg into a round hole.

Knowing that you have co-created your current reality is a great start Jenna! Too many people are either asleep and never examine their story… or they deny their responsibilities… or they dramatize it… there is no need for any of this! Just know that it is a story and that you are the author ;-)

Please read The Secret of the Art of Co-Creation.

Jenna,   Every choice you made or did not make led you to where you are today.  And it is perfect (look at your sons and you will know what I mean).  Now the great thing is that you can make new choices and go where your heart is leading you.  There are no mistakes, just little bumps in the road that is your life.  Imagine the unimaginable, and you will find it.  Dare to dream big!

Namaste,

Laurie

P.S. I love this blog, Alex.  It's creation has inspired others to look a little deeper within themselves.

To me theis relates to the message of jesus of doing greater things than he did.  People can accept the religious view of being helpless sinners (sheep) or take their power back and develop the pwer of thought within themselves(the kingdom of heaven is within) and create freedom of the Self which infects our world with conscious freedom thought and actions.  Allowing is what creates the balance that allows all people to take control of their own happiness and not be concerned with what others are doing in creating their own> Happiness is in the eye of the beholder.  What is happy for one may not be that for another. Barry Neil Kaupman at Option Institute has book on Happiness that are great.
